Proclaiming Truth, Preparing Servants

You are not called to grow alone. Whether you are beginning your journey in faith or preparing for ministry, you have a place here.

Amen Bible College exists to serve Tamil-speaking believers across Europe with sound biblical teaching and a life shaped by the Word of God.

We are a theological community – not simply a place of study. Through systematic instruction in Scripture, we equip men and women with theological understanding, spiritual discipline, and moral integrity, so that Christ’s character is reflected in their personal lives, their homes, and their churches. We do not teach to fill the mind alone; we teach so that the hands are made ready and the whole life is offered back to God in service.

Our students come from many nations, many congregations, and many walks of life. Some are taking their first serious steps in the faith. Others already carry the weight of ministry and seek to serve with greater depth and confidence. All of them learn together, because spiritual growth happens within a community of believers who encourage, strengthen, and refine one another. No one is left to work out their calling in isolation — the Lord Himself placed us in a body, and it is within that body that we are built up.

This is why our calling is held together in a single word of Scripture:

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11–12

Here is the whole of who we are. God gives teachers so that truth may be proclaimed.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision is to proclaim and teach the Word of God through the ministry of the college, with a special focus on Europe and the growing Tamil-speaking community.

We seek to raise up leaders who are equipped to live a Godly life, serve faithfully in divine ministry, and demonstrate a strong and committed Christian witness.

We also look ahead to the generation now growing up across Europe. Our young people are being formed in the languages of the countries they call home, and the Word of God must reach them in the language in which they think, pray, and live.

For this reason we are committed to teaching in English, French, German, and Italian, alongside Tamil for our Tamil-speaking community – so that no believer, of any age, is kept at a distance from the truth by language.

Our purpose is to equip and nurture believers within Tamil-speaking churches across Europe to become true disciples of Jesus Christ – grounded in Scripture, mature in character, and ready to serve.

We pursue this in four ways.

We build a foundation in the Word. We teach the whole counsel of God systematically, so that believers are not dependent on borrowed opinions but can read, understand, and rightly handle Scripture for themselves. True faith arises from a proper understanding of the Bible, and so we give ourselves to teaching it faithfully and clearly.

We form character, not only knowledge. Biblical learning is meant to be lived. Alongside academic study we encourage spiritual discipline, moral integrity, and a growing likeness to Christ – in the home, in the workplace, and in the church. Knowledge that does not lead to obedience has not yet done its work.

We serve the local church. Our students belong to congregations, and it is to those congregations that they return. We prepare pastors, lay leaders, teachers, worship servants, and faithful members who strengthen the ministries already entrusted to them, and we work in partnership with churches and their leaders rather than apart from them.

We prepare the next generation. Many of our young people are growing up between two worlds – rooted in a Tamil heritage, yet living, studying, and worshiping in European societies. We are committed to teaching them in the languages in which they think and pray – English, French, German, and Italian – alongside Tamil for our Tamil-speaking community, so that they take hold of the same faith as their parents with clarity and conviction, and carry it forward as their own.

To help individuals discover their God-given purpose and calling in a rapidly changing world  through a complete pathway of study that receives a believer wherever they stand and carries them as far as God calls them: from the Certificate in Lay Leadership and the Certificate in Youth Ministry, through the Certificate in Ministry and the Diploma in Theology, to the Bachelor of Theology and onward to the Master in Pastoral Ministry.

To equip pastors, missionaries, and church workers with depth as well as devotion – our Bachelor of Theology is a three-year undergraduate program for those who intend to be fully equipped for ministry, developing skills of exegesis, interpretation, and application of Scripture to real life, and the capacity to reflect theologically on contemporary issues in local and global contexts.

To uphold recognised standards in theological education – in partnership with Alpha Omega International College (Malaysia), every certificate, diploma, and degree we award is accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA), so that what is offered to God is prepared with diligence and care, and credits earned here are transferable to equivalent institutions.

To guide believers in integrating biblical principles for faithful living within a pluralistic society – so that a biblical worldview governs our thinking, our speech, and our conduct, in a Europe where believers must live their faith among many competing convictions.

To provide a Christ-centred community grounded in a sound understanding of Scripture , where academic rigour is balanced with confidence and personal maturity, and where each class becomes a community in which we care for one another, show love, and support each other in prayer.

To root our teaching in the Pentecostal faith we confess

Our Statement of Faith defines the biblical convictions that guide our academic mission.

We believe that:

  • THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE

Amen Bible College believes that the Holy Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God. It is inerrant in the original manuscripts and is the final and sole authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

  • THE TRIUNE GOD

Amen Bible College believes in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, holy, sovereign, and worthy of all worship.

  • THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST

Amen Bible College believes that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead. Salvation is found in Him alone.

  • THE FALL AND DEPRAVITY OF MAN

Amen Bible College believes that man was created in the image of God, but through Adam’s disobedience all humanity fell into sin. As a result, every person is born with a sinful nature and stands under God’s judgment, unable to save himself.

  • SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Amen Bible College believes that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those who repent of sin and trust in Christ are justified, born again by the Holy Spirit, adopted into God’s family, and receive eternal life. Good works are the fruit, not the cause, of salvation.

  • THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Amen Bible College believes that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells them, and empowers them for Godly living and witness. He gives spiritual gifts to build up the Church and conforms believers to the image of Christ.

  • SANCTIFICATION AND THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

Amen Bible College believes that sanctification is a progressive work of the Holy Spirit by which believers are set apart to God and enabled to grow in holiness. Christians are called to live lives of obedience, love, and service to the glory of God.

  • THE CHURCH

Amen Bible College believes the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The local church is to practice biblical teaching, fellowship, worship, evangelism, and discipleship. Christ has given two ordinances for the Church: believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.

  • THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

Amen Bible College believes Christ has commissioned the Church to make disciples of all nations by preaching the Gospel, baptizing believers, and teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded. We are called to meet human needs with compassion and to pursue justice and mercy in the world./p>

  • THE ORDINANCES

Amen Bible College believes in two ordinances instituted by Christ:
    1. Baptism - the immersion of a believer in water as a public testimony of faith in Christ and union with Him in His death and resurrection.
    2. The Lord’s Supper - a memorial of Christ’s death, proclaiming His sacrifice until He comes.

  • THE RESURRECTION AND SECOND COMING

Amen Bible College believes in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and in His future, personal, and visible return. At His coming, the dead in Christ will be raised and those who are alive will be transformed.

  • THE FINAL STATE

Amen Bible College believes in the bodily resurrection of all people. Believers will be raised to eternal life with God in the new heavens and new earth. Unbelievers will be raised to eternal, conscious separation from God in hell.

  • THE PERMANENCE OF MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman for life. God designed marriage to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. Therefore, we affirm that marriage is to be permanent, exclusive, and entered into with biblical fidelity. Hence we affirm that divorce and extra marital affairs are sins against the moral law of God.
